中州科技大學保健食品系碩士班胡俊明同學及餐飲廚藝系高瑞鴻同學，日前赴上海參加「2017 FHC中國國際烹飪藝術大賽」，胡俊明包辦中式點心展示銀牌、西式魚烹飪銅牌、中式牛肉烹飪銅牌及中式豬肉烹飪銅牌，高瑞鴻則勇奪中式豬肉烹飪銀牌，師徒2人共獲得二銀三銅亮眼好成績，另外，餐飲廚藝系吳鎮宇、劉峻偉同學亦參加「2017國際文創盃美學設計競賽」，也分別榮獲創意果雕靜態作品大專組第三、四名好佳績。

中州科大表示，「FHC中國國際烹飪藝術大賽」是中國規模最大且獲得世界廚師協會認證的國際賽事，今年共有2,200多位來自全球各地的廚師參賽。目前就讀中州保食系碩士班一年級的胡俊明同學，在餐飲業已擁有20年豐富資歷，目前擔任日月潭教師會館行政主廚，這次比賽共報名5個競賽項目，是報名最多項目的參賽選手，能贏得4面獎牌，更是破紀錄的表現。

胡俊明說，為了終身學習、精益求精，今年考入中州保食系碩士班就讀，在專業領域繼續進修，增進食材、食品的知識，希望以更科學、更營養的方式去做料理，未來將繼續帶領年輕廚師積極投入賽事，擴展視野、淬鍊廚藝。

另外，以美容美髮比賽為主於崑山科大舉辦的「2017國際文創盃美學設計競賽」，餐廚系三年級吳鎮宇同學、二年級劉峻偉同學跨領域參賽，各以「瓜爭上游」與「婚禮派對」等作品，將果雕技術融合美學元素，呈現專業的設計感，分別榮獲創意果雕靜態作品大專組第三名及第四名的肯定。

中州科大健康學院院長黃仕政表示，歷年來有多位業界廚師在中州科大進修碩士課程，藉以提升專業知識，也為烹調料理的創意融入健康元素；而跨領域學習一直是中州推動的學習方向，在美學設計競賽中，將美學與果雕技藝結合，讓學生提升自身藝術層次，激勵學子們能在優良的師資環境中學習，一展長才。
